Continuing the theme from my last post, I’m beginning to think that I’m not blacklisted but have been in fact shadowbanned. I’m getting zero responses from anyone on anything I comment on. I’ve been deliberately inflammatory the last few times I’ve commented, and nothing. Not a peep.

Is shadowbanning a thing here?

Shit it might be on Jalopnik. I can’t find any of your comments (pending or otherwise) on Jalopnik posts, but you’ve got authorship privileges in Oppositelock. There are dozens of grayed people on the front page though. Keep commenting and you’ll eventually get out there. Or email staff at Jalopnik and see if they can help.

Hmm... I think “inflammatory” is understating a bit what this account comments.

I find some funny but in general, very inflammatory. Oppo has guidelines for this, but does Jalopnik have em?

Being a dick in Jalopnik doesn’t warrant getting greyed tho, its a site with paid journalist that have a sense of self worth and know that trolls matter not. Oppo is moderated because its a blog and we don’t want shit on our floor ( I suppose).

I think it’s just Kinja being Kinja. Sometimes I comment right away and I get plenty of comments other times my comment stays at the bottom no matter how early I post or how many stars it gets early.

But if you don’t like how they post, why don’t you just move here with us, in Oppo? You already have authorship and people here love complaining about the Jalopnik writters.... I haven’t seen them banned or greyed. As long as you keep your post inside the confines of the posting code, you’ll be safe.

Well, then rather than complaining in Jalopnik, read the posting code here, and complain here! we might agree or dissagree with you on certain things, but as long as the conversation remains within the guidelines of “Being excelent to eachother” then no problem!

IDK I’ve never been banned, always been grayed on the big sites except for when I agreed with a writter in The Root and King in Jalopnik.

I still think Alanis, Stef and Kirsten are the best writters to emerge out of Jalopnik. Specially Kirsten, I love her work! But we all do mistakes and it’s worth discussing them, if they won’t give you an audicence in their side of the court, make your own! They do read Oppo and will have to listen to you here!

I think I am shadowbanned on Deadspin because I was too harsh on one of the writers there.

Shadowbanning is terrible.  Either ban or don't.

I think I j ust got shadowbanned the other day. N o idea why. My notifications said I had to replies to two separate comments but when I go to the link the replies aren’t there . Then on top of that I’m back to gray when I haven’t been on Jalopnik for years. I’m also getting ZERO response to anything I comment. I replied to MattcannonTM but that reply is gone. The replies to me from Blinker Fluid and Eddie-Brannan still show in notifications but when I cli ck the “this post” link neither of those replies will show up. My original comments are still there though with all the stars and everything. No idea what the hell is going on
